Come and get your hands dirty with our "How to look after your house plants + make a mini Kokedama workshop at PAUS.

The workshop will be split into two halves, one half will be talking about how to look after your house plants, including how to repot your house plant, how to look after and revive an unhappy house plant and how to propagate the most common house plants.

The second part of the workshop will be creating a 'kokedama', a Japanese variant of bonsai, that has become an instagram craze, with creative gardeners transforming houseplants into dangling sculptural objects.

But - you may ask - what is kokedama?

Basically, kokedama (translation “moss ball”), is the practice of removing a root system from its container, surrounding it in a mud cake, then wrapping the whole mess in moss before winding it in string. The original Japanese form of kokedama was then displayed on an altar-like platform.

All the materials are provided by geo-fleur to make your very own kokedama, with a variety of air purifying house plant, which you will take home in a geo-fleur bag.

Also included in the workshop will be a 10 minute Q&A session, during which you can ask plant guru, founder of geo-fleur and author of Living with Plants - Sophie Lee - any plant questions you may have.

Any questions please give us a shout at info@geo-fleur.com

Please note: Workshop tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. In the rare event of staff illness or undersubscribed workshops, geo-fleur reserve the right to cancel workshops at any time. If rescheduling is not possible the workshop ticket price will be refunded. We are not in a position to offer participants compensation for travel and accommodation.
